Policeman run over by train in Aligarh

Aligarh, Jan 13: A policeman was crushed to death when he attempted to alight from a running train at the railway station here this morning.

Assistant sub-inspector Mayaram, who was posted in Mathura district, was going to his hometown in Aligarh from Vikramshila Express, police said.

When Mayaram came to learn that the train has no stoppage at the city, he disembarked from the running train, which claimed his life.

Investigation was on.
