Police arrest six Maoist guerillas

Motihari, Jan 13 (UNI) In a major success to their special campaign the local police yesterday arrested six hardcore extremists of proscribed CPI(Maoist) from Dilavarpur village under Kesaria police station area in the East Champaran district.

Police sources said here today that the campaign was launched on the instruction of Police Superintendent Sunil Kumar Jha to nab the extremists.

Acting on a tip off a raid was conducted at Dilavarpur village and the maoist guerillas were arrested from a hideout.

Police had also recovered a cache of firearms from them.

The arrested extremists were being interrogated, sources added.
