NSCN-IM declares 'emergency', security forces on red alert

Kohima, Jan 13 (UNI) The president of ''Government of Peoples' Republic of Nagalim(GPRN)'' of the proscribed NSCN-IM has proclaimed a state of emergency in their setup today.

Isak Chishi Swu has released a copy of the proclamation to the media.

The 'Tatar Hoho' (parliament of the outfit) is placed under suspended animation with effect from January 13, 2008.

However, the cause of the proclamation of emergency was not immediately known and this has sounded red alert among the security forces in Nagaland.
