Narayanasamy calls on Pondy DMK Convener

Puducherry, Jan 13: AICC General Secretary V Narayanasamy called on Puducherry DMK convener R V Janakiraman at his residence here today.

Later, talking to the, Mr Narayanasamy said the visit was to extend birthday greetings to Mr Janakiraman.

However, political circles attached political significance to the visit in the wake of his tirade against Chief Minister N Rangasamy.

It may be recalled that, Mr Narayanasamy had written to the Chief Secretary, seeking details of people from the Chief Minister's Thattanchavady constituency, who had availed government jobs and other benefits till last year-end.

Mr Narayanasamy, also the Tsunami Parliamentary Sub-committee Chairman, had given an ultimatum to the Puducherry administration to fully utilise the funds allotted by the Centre for taking up tsunami rehabilitation works by October this year, at a function in the presence of Mr Rangasamy yesterday.
