MP reeling under severe cold
Bhopal, Jan 13 (UNI) After days of respite from the piercing cold, winter chill has returned to Madhya Pradesh with mercury dropping constantly due to northern winds.
Naugaon in Chhatarpur was the coldest recording a minimum of four degree Celsius. A low of five C was recorded in Rewa. Tikamgarh, Sheopurkala, Guna, Khajuraho and Khandwa recorded six C.
Regional Met department said a minimum of about 7-9 C was recorded in Raisen, Rajgarh, Umaria, Mandala, Alirajpur, Neemuch, Shajapur, Ujjain, Satna, Malajkhand and Sagar.
The cold was less in the state capital as compared to yesterday.
A maximum of 23.5 C, three degree below normal, and a minimum of 10 C was recorded. Indore and Gwalior also experienced some relief.
However, night temperature touched near about eight C.
