Maoist leader surrenders
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 13 (UNI) Maoist leader and Deputy Commander of Galikonda platoon Potthuru Chinabbayi alias Ramakrishna alias RK (32) surrendered before the police here this evening.
Police said RK surrendered before East Godavari District Superintendent of Police B Srinivasulu.
RK, who hailed from Cheedigunta village in Visakhapatnam district, joined the People's War Group in 2002 and was involved in at least four important operations, including blasting of the Genco guest house in Sileru.
Later, talking to newspersons, RK said he got disillusioned with the Maoists' policies and was unable to lead a hard life in the forest away from his family.
