Illicit liquor making unit busted in Puducherry

Puducherry,Jan 13: Police busted an illicit liquor manufacturing unit and arrested two persons at Karuvadikuppam here today.

Police said that based on a tip off they raided a house at Periyamariyathamma Koil street and seized 75 bottles and 50 litres of rectified spirit.

The arrested were Ramesh (25) of Kallakuruchi and Pandian (19) of Cuddalore.

On interrogation, it was revealed that the unit was owned by one Raju of Mudaliarpet, police added.
