3 killed in road accident in Rajkot

Rajkot, Jan 13 (UNI) Three persons were killed when the motorcycle on which they were travelling was dashed by a truck on the Gondal road here.

Ramesh Muchhediya, his wife, son Brijesh and daughter Dhara, had arrived here from Keshod to celebrate ''Makar Sankranti'' festival at a relative Haresh Parmar's house.

Haresh went to the railway station to receive them last night.

While Ramesh and his wife decided to take an autorickshaw, Haresh decided to carry Brijesh and Dhara on his motorcycle, police said.

But, Haresh ignored traffic rules and entered a one-way lane.

His motorcycle was hit by an oncoming truck and all the three were killed on the spot, police said.
