Two MLAs resign from Nagaland Legislative Assembly
Kohima, Jan 12 (UNI) Two MLAs of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly have resigned from their respective Assembly seats.
Assembly Secretary N Benjamin Newmai, in a notification issued here yesterday, said Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie had formally accepted the resignations of Mr Tokheho, who was elected from the Aghunato Assembly Constituency under Zunheboto district, and Mr Tali, who was elected from the Tuli Assembly Constituency under Mokokchung district, with effect from January 10, 2008.
Subsequently, the Speaker also declared the seats of the two Assembly constituencies as vacant, the notification said.
