TMMK plea to Sonia on Modi function
Chennai, Jan 12 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) today urged AICC President Sonia Gandhi to impress upon the TNCC not to allow the use of its premises for a function organised by noted journalist and former BJP MP Cho Ramasamy in which Gujarat Chief Minister Narendera Modi is expected to address a gathering.
In a letter to Ms Gandhi, a copy of which was released to the media here, TMMK President M H Jawhirullah said ''it is ironical the Congress Trust, which owns the Kamarajar Arangam, has let out the premises for Mr Modi to propagate his fascist ideologies.
''We appeal to you to interfere and order the TNCC to cancel the permission to use the Kamarajar Arangam on January 14 by Mr Cho Ramasamy.'' UNI SNR GM NY RN2035
