Moga has the best German Shepherd in Punjab
Moga, Jan 12 (UNI) Moga district achieved major distinction of winning the first prize for having the best German Shepherd breed dog in Punjab and also won the milking competition at the first Punjab State livestock championship concluded at Muktsar district.
German Shepherd owned by Raj Kumar Loomba on Langeana village of Moga was judged the best out of 70 dogs in the dog competition.
Similarly, in milking competition Randhir Singh Gill of Rode a progressive dairy farmer's Murrah/ Nili Ravi buffalo was selected for first prize having 40 litres milk yield per day.
Meanwhile, Makhan Singh farmer of Langena Purnana villageof Moga district's cow bagged first prize for having yield of 20.500 kg milk per day.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal distributed the prizes to the winners on this the concluding day of championship this evening.
