Man tries to chop off sister-in-law's nose, held

Barabanki, Jan 12: Police today arrested a man for allegedly trying to chop off his widow sister-in-law's (wife's sister) nose here.

Police said accused Siyaram wanted to marry his sister-in-law Kalawati of Datauli village in Jahangirabad area of the district. Kalawati's refusal put off Siyaram, who decided to teach her a lesson.

On January 9, the accused accompanied by his aide, tried to chop off Kalwati's nose thereby wounding her.

Later, a case was registered against them and Siyaram was nabbed this morning.
