Man impersonating as police inspector held

Bulandshahr, Jan 12: Police today arrested an imposter, who posed himself as a police inspector, in Kotwali area here today.

Brajpal of Kaithla, Aligarh impersonated himself as cop at a marriage party and demanded Rs 50,000 from the bride's family to resolve the dowry matter.

Getting suspicious, family of the bride cross examined him.

Brajpal tried to flee but was caught by villagers and was handed over to police.

According to police sources, Brajpal was a former CRPF personnel and had also committed such offence earlier.
