KPCC to be revamped soon: Fernandes
Mysore, Jan 12 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes today said the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) would be revamped shortly in order to face the coming Assembly elections in the state.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the issue had already been discussed at various levels and several top leaders in the state expressed similar views.
Congress Karnataka Observer, Prithviraj Chavan, who had been asked to revamp the KPCC,expressed confidence thaat it would be done shortly.
Stating that the party will fare well in the coming Assembly elections, Mr Fernandes also hinted that Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will be asked to shoulder important responsibility.
''The party high command has discussed the matter and it will be announced soon,'' Mr Fernandes said.
