IGNOU signs MoU with international varsities

New Delhi, Jan 12: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today said it signed fresh agreements with varsities from Nepal, Nigeria and South Africa recently.

In a statement here, IGNOU's chief spokesperson Ravi Mohan said the memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed at various national and international levels. Giving details, he said an agreement was signed with National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) for licensing IGNOU's course materials for its students. IGNOU was also signed an MoU with Southern African Development Community (SADC) - Centre for Distance Education to train its 40 Open Distance Learning (ODL) practitioners in the Master of Arts in Distance Education (MADE), Mr Arun added.

Similarly, he said an agreement with DLP Management Consortium (Private) Limited, Kathmandu, was reached for executing a joint distance education project in Nepal capital as a partner institution of IGNOU.

Mr Mohan said IGNOU also signed an agreement with National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) to develop and offer programmes at Doctoral and Post-Doctoral levels.
