Chandigarh, Jan 12 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda assured the officers of the Education Department that the paucity of funds would not come in the way of development of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidhyala, Khanpur Kalan.
This was stated by Chief Minister while presiding over a meeting held here to review the ongoing works being executed in the Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidhyala Khanpur Kalan in district Sonepat.
The Chief Minister said the Haryana government had set up a unique women university which was the first of its kind in the northern India.
He said that Haryana Government had also declared the year 2008 as the year of Education so that special thrust be given to promote education in the State in a big way to enable the students to meet the global challenges.
Mr Hooda said the Haryana State Road and Bridge Corporation was incurring a sum of Rs 80 crore for undertaking the construction of new buildings and repair works of various buildings in the campus of the University, out of which a sum of Rs 23.30 crore had already been spent.
He directed the concerned authorities that all the ongoing works should be completed by July this year positively.
