Hearing in Dera Sacha Sauda case deferred to Jan 21
Ambala, Jan 12 (UNI) A special CBI court today deferred the hearing to January 21 of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim regarding his involvement in murder and rape cases.
He appeared in the court of special CBI Judge R K Saini here. The Dera counsel pleaded that an application was filed for issue of documents which were not supplied by the CBI, hence arguments could not be made.
The CBI lawyers made a reply stating that the required documents had already been supplied and some of the documents could not be produced till framing of charges in the court under Supreme Court orders.
The Dera counsel, thereafter, withdrew his application. The court then fixed January 21 as the next date of hearing.
No one, including mediapersons, were allowed to enter the court premises till the court proceedings concluded.
