Armed miscreants rob roadways bus

Ghazipur, Jan 12: Armed miscreants robbed a roadways bus conductor and passengers of several thousands of rupees in cash and valuables under Nandganj area of the district early today.

Those robbed included a former MLC and ruling BSP leader Bachcha Yadav, Additional Police Superintendent M M Beg said. The bus, on way to Gorakhpur from Varanasi, was robbed near Devkali village by about five miscreants, who had been travelling aboard as passengers.

A manhunt had been launched to nab the accused, Mr Beg informed. Meanwhile, police had formed five teams to work out the case.
