AP Cong Traders Cell plea on way bill system

Hyderabad, Jan 12 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Traders Cell today asked the State Government withdraw the way bill system as it was not existing in any state in the country.

According to a press release here, the office bearers of the cell also demanded abolition of VAT on foodgrains, which would hit common man, at a meeting held at the State Congress Headquarters -- Gandhi Bhavan.

State Government Adviser D A Somayajulu, who attended the meeting as the Chief Guest, assured the traders that their demands would be brought to the notice of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for suitable action.

APCC Traders Cell President G Rajamouli Gupta explained the welfare measures undertaken by the government to the members.
