Under trial dies in attempt to escape

Lucknow, Jan 11: An undertrial jumped to death from a running train when he attempted to escape in Kanpur city. According to Government Railway Police (GRP) today, Ram Singh was being taken to Naini jail after a court hearing late Jan 10 in the custody of RPF jawans. He jumped from the running Kalka Mail near Karvighva station. He died on the spot. Investigation was on.
