Kidnapper arrested, two minor girls rescued

New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) The police today said it had arrested a man in a kidnapping and rape case and rescued two minor girls.

According to the police, the suspect Chhabila Kumar, who worked in a garment shop in Sarojini Nagar, had kidnapped two sisters, aged 12 and 14 years, by promising marriage to the elder one.

The girls' father had lodged a complaint about his missing daughters with the police on January three.

During investigation, the police discovered that Chhabila, who resided in the same building as the girls in village Pilanji in Sarojini Nagar, was also missing.

He had taken the two girls to his sister's house in Chhapra, Bihar and raped the elder girl.

Police arrested him from the New Delhi Railway Station on January seven while he was enroute to another destination and rescued the two girls.
