Karbi militants killed, ULFA linkmen held in Assam
Guwahati, Jan 11 (UNI) Two hardcore Karbi militants were killed and as many suspected ULFA linkmen were nabbed in separate incidents in Assam today.
The slain militants, belonging to the Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF), were killed by Army's 66 Field Regiment in Golaghat district.
One AK 47 and one pistol were recovered from them.
Meanwhile, two ULFA linkmen were arrested by the 268 Field Regiment of the Army at Tingali Bam tea estate under Sonari police station in Sibsagar district today.
Identified as Raju Chetri alias Mani Kumar Subba and Diganta Hazarika, three blank ULFA pads were recovered from their possession.
