Chandy scoffs 'reservation' on Karunankaran's Cong return

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 11 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Kerala Assembly Oommen Chandy today dismissed reports of harbouring any reservation on veteran leader K Karunakaran's return to the Congress.

''He will be given all respect due for his age and experience,'' Mr Chandy told newspersons here.

Mr Chandy said the decision on Mr Karunakaran's return to the Congress was taken by the party High Command and all Congress workers would abide by it.

Referring to the criticism of not having called on Mr Karunakaran after his return to the party, Mr Chandy said no such formality was required.

''Whenever there is a situation, we will meet. I will be attending the rally organised by him on February one,'' he said.
