BJP protests price hike, terrorism

Kanpur, Jan 11 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists today staged 'dharna' across the city against price rise, corruption, terrorism and other burning issues.

Ranting anti-state government slogans, the mob assembled at various places and condemned inflation, corruption, terrorism and ''illegal fund collection'' for Uttar pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's birthday on January 15.

While the activists held the UP government responsible for price rise and corruption, they blamed the Centre for rising terrorist acts throughout the country.

The agitation caused traffic snarls at Shikshak Park, Naveen Market, Lenin Park, Nawaabganj and other busy areas of the city.
