BJP, Congress express satisfaction over delimitation in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Jan 11 (UNI) The ruling BJP and opposition Congress have expressed satisfaction over new delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies in Rajasthan.

BJP state President Om Mathur said his party had been urging for early implementation of new delimitation of Parliamenatary and Assembly constituencies and it did welcome the UPA Government's decision for promulgation of ordinance to implement Delimintation Commission's recommendations.

The ruling Congress at the Centre was trying to delay the process, he alleged.

Mr Mathur expressed satisfaction over the process of delimitation in Rajasthan and said the new delimitation was acceptable to his party.

Congress state President C P Joshi said the delimitation was inevitable and his party welcomed it.

While, the new delimitation might have created problems for some leaders, it would pave way for emergence of new leaders so there was no problem as such, Mr Joshi said.

He said the Cogress was already in the process of preparing itself for the new situation in the wake of reorganisation of the constituencies.
