Suspended Orissa DGP B B Mohanty gets bail

Jaipur, Jan 11: Suspended Orissa DGP BB Mohanty who had surrendered in a lower court in the parole jumping case of his son Bitti Mohanty, a rape convict, was granted bail today.

He was remanded to 14 days judicial custody by the ACJM court of Rajendra Bansal yesterday after the court rejected his bail petition. Today, a bail application was filed in the court of Additional district court of Chandrika Prasad and he was granted bail on two sureties worth Rs 1 lakh each and another surety of Rs 2 lakh.
