Maharashtra: 4 held for assaulting senior citizen
Mumbai, Jan 11: Police have arrested four persons for allegedly assauting a 65-year-old businessman at Santacruz here. Narayan Hari Singh (46), Lakshman Singh Surjsingh Negi (21), Mohammed Usman Hamid Khan (23) and Rajiv Suryanath Gafoor (31) were arrested for assaulting Suresh Kishan Gajebal, a tailor.
Gajebal had taken a tailoring shop from Shankarlal H Khan Chandani (65) on rent. However, after some time, Chandani wanted the shop to be vacated. But Gajebal refused, following which Chandani allegedly sent the quartet to threaten the former into evicting the shop. Chandani is absconding, police said.
