Zardari draws parallel with Gandhis to defend Bilawal
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari today looked towards India while defending his son Bilawal's appointment as party chief, drawing a parallel between the Bhutto and and Nehru-Gandhi clans to refute allegations of dynastic rule.
He said Bilawal had been groomed by his mother and assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto just like the Gandhi scions had been given ''master training'' by their illustrious parents.
''Indiraji got trained by Nehru saheb and he was the greatest master she could have had. She trained Rajiv and Sanjay and then Rajiv, in turn, trained Rahul and Priyanka. You have to give them their due for learning at the feet of the masters,'' he told a web portal.
