West Bengal not Buddhadeb's "personal property" : Kshiti

Arambagh, Jan 10 (UNI) West Bengal PWD Minister Kshiti Goswami today lambasted the Left Front Government for ''kowtowing'' to Tata Motors's interests and asserted that the state was not Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's ''personal property''.

Addressing the RSP's district level conference here, Mr Goswami averred that the CPI(M) was projecting its own industrialisation policy as the policy of the Left Front and made it clear that his party would not tolerate it.

What happened at Singur today would recur in future also, he said adding, ''We have always been against the setting up of industries in fertile land.'' Charging the CPI(M) with ''appeasing'' capitalism, he said Mr Bhattacharjee had handed over farm land to Tata Motors at Singur out of ''sheer emotion''.

Mr Goswami lamented that Mar Bhattacharjee was ''toeing the line'' of the investors, which was out and out unfortunate''.
