ULFA ultra killed in encounter
Guwahati, Jan 10 (UNI) A hardcore ULFA militant was killed in an encounter with the army near Makum today.
The incident took place at around 0530 hours at Abhukut village near Makum of Tinsukia district.
The militant was later identified as Powali Duwarah of Hatijan village.
The army personnel were from the 2nd Bihar regiment.
The rebel was involved in extortion and the army personnel acted on a tip off.
