Three security personnel injured, hideout busted in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 10 (UNI) Three security force personnel were injured in a hand grenade blast while a militant hideout was busted and arms and ammunition recovered in Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official sources said.

They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards security forces at main chowk Sopore, about 55 km from here in north Kashmir last evening resulting in injuries to three jawans.

The injured were hospitalised, they said adding that a search operation was conducted but the militants had managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

A police spokesman said security forces busted a hideout and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including one heavy machine gun, one ammunition box, one UBGL with one grenade, one mine and 14 detonators at Choru in Doda. No one was however arrested, he said.
