SP workers on demonstrations in UP

Kanpur, Jan 10 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) workers staged demonstrations here today to protest the Value Added Tax (VAT) and alleged police misbehaviour with the party workers at Safai and the Uttar Pradesh capital.

Hundreds of SP workers converged at Shikshk Park, Naveen Market for the state-wide protest and unleashed vitriol against the ruling BSP government.

The SP workers claimed that the Chief Minister Mayawati has failed to meet all her promises which she had made to the people of state at her swearing in ceremony.

Later, they staged demonstration at Bara Chauraha crossing under the leadership of Surendra Mohan Agarwal.
