Sensitive polling stations rise after Benazir's death: EC

The
Election
Commission
of
Pakistan
(ECP)
on
Wednesday
said
that
the
number
of
sensitive
polling
stations
have
risen
following
the
assassination
of
ex-premier
Benazir
Bhutto.
Secretary
ECP
Kanwar
Muhammad
Dilshad
made
this
statement
after
a
meeting
held
to
assess
the
damage
caused
to
its
offices
in
different
districts
of
Sindh.
“She
was
twice
elected
prime
minister
of
Pakistan
and
her
martyrdom
is
a
huge
tragedy
for
the
country," The
News
quoted
Dilshad,
as
saying.
He said the printing of ballot papers would be completed by next week. The Secretary ECP went on to say that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the provincial governments.
