Islamabad, Jan 9: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday said that the number of sensitive polling stations have risen following the assassination of ex-premier Benazir Bhutto. Secretary ECP Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad made this statement after a meeting held to assess the damage caused to its offices in different districts of Sindh. “She was twice elected prime minister of Pakistan and her martyrdom is a huge tragedy for the country," The News quoted Dilshad, as saying.

He said the printing of ballot papers would be completed by next week. The Secretary ECP went on to say that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the provincial governments.
