Scribe attempts suicide in court premises

Bangalore, Jan 10 (UNI) A former employee of a national English daily allegedly attempted suicide in the High Court premises here today.

Police said Ananda Rao (55) had filed a petition against his former employer for dismissing him from service without any reason.

When his case came up for hearing, he consumed poison.

Passersby alerted the police, who admitted him to a private hospital.

His condition was said to be serious, police added.
