'Restore student union poll in UP'
Jaunpur, Jan 10 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) president Arun Kumar Singh today appealed UP chief minister Mayawati to restore student union election that were essential for democratic values.
'' The youth of today's generation would be affected by anarchy, if no student union election are held,'' Mr Singh said addressing media here today.
''Student unions are important for democracy, as it teaches us politics...the medium has given our country some big politicians,'' former UPCC president added.
He further asked the students to carry out a peaceful agitation for the restoration of the same.
