REC appoints independent directors

Mumbai, Jan 10 (UNI) Following the government's directives, the Board of Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has appointed four independent directors.

Venugopal N Dhoot, CMD, Videocon, P R Subramanium, CMD, FACT, M Govind Rao, Director, National Institute of Public Finance and policy and Davi Singh, Director, Indian Institute of Management have taken charge as independent directors, stated a release.

REC also has plans to enter the capital market with an issue of 15,61,20,000 equity shares comprising of approximately 18.18 per cent of its fully diluted post-issue capital, the release added.
