Lucknow, Jan 10 (UNI) A great news for wildlife lovers! A campaign has been kickstarted to encourage wildlife lovers to become the legal parents of their favourite animal in the Lucknow Zeological Park.
''Under the scheme, any person, organisation, school, office, group, company, semi-government/government organisation, corporation and NGO can adopt wild animals and make them a part of their family,'' Lucknow Zoo director Renu Singh said here today.
''As per the scheme, one can adopt animals and meet expenses regarging their health, food and fence maintenance for one year or more,'' Ms Singh informed.
She added that the adopter's name would be recorded in a list and he be given a free pass of the zeological park.
Besides, he would be honoured from time to time during important events inside the Lucknow zoo, the director said.
