No injury or loss of life due to collision, Indian Navy
Mumbai, Jan 10 (UNI) Indian Navy today said there was no injury or loss of life in the accident involving a Naval submarine and a merchant vessel, which took place at the West Coast area of Arabian Sea yesterday.
Terming the incident as a 'minor collision', a Defence Ministry spokeperson said here no noteworthy damage had occurred to either of the two vessels, adding the matter was being investigated by the authorities concerned.
Earlier, a section of media had reported that one of the Indian Navy's most advanced submarines, had collided with a foreign merchant vessel north of Mumbai, adding the damage was limited to the submarine's fin.
