MLA, contractor file cross complaints against each other

Vadodara, Jan 10 (UNI) Vadodara Rural BJP MLA Upendrasinh Gohil today registered a complaint with the police against a sand contractor associated with Gujarat Refinery, for rioting and injuring one of his supporters at his office.

However, a cross complaint by the contractor, Harshad Chudasma, has also been registered with the police about the incident.

Mr Gohil, in his complaint, said one of his supporters suffered minor injuries when Chudasama and his henchmen attacked them with knives at his office late last night because of his opposition to illegal transportation of sand from the Koyali Gujarat Refinery.

Meanwhile, Chudasama, in his complaint, said his truck driver was badly beaten and his car was damaged by the MLA and his men last night at Koyali village.

No arrest has been made so far, police said.
