HSEC extends last date to file claims on Draft Electoral Rolls

Chandigarh, Jan 10: Haryana State Election Commission has extended the last date to submit claims and objections to the Revising Authority for the Draft Electoral Rolls published on December 28, 2007 of Municipal Council Panchkula upto January 14.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the State Election Department said that the last date of submitting the claims and objections had been extended by another five days on the request of Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula.

He said that a number of people had met the Deputy Commissioner to request for extending the last date as they were out of station during the the last week of December 2007.

He said that in view of the problems being faced by the inhabitants of Panchkula, the State Election Commissioner had extended the dates for filing claims and objections.
