Govt to bring Delimitation Commission bill in JK Assembly
Jammu, Jan 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government today expressed its willingness to bring a bill relating to the constitution of Delimitation Commission in the Legislative Assembly, the issue which halted proceedings of the House for over half-an-hour.
After the House resumed at 1110 hrs following a 43-minute-long adjournment, Health and Medical Education Minister Mangat Ram Sharma said the government had conducted series of meetings with various political parties but no consensus was achieved.
''The government will bring a bill regarding constitution of Delimitation Commission in the current session of the Legislative Assembly,'' Mr Sharma said, asserting that the decision was taken by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in concurrence with senior PDP leader Abdul Aziz Zargar in the House.
