DC's car to cost Rs 4 crores

New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) Top-end car maker, Dilip Chhabria today said his cars Ambierod and DC:S will be priced at Rs four crores and Rs 25 lakhs respectively.

The cars were launched here today at the ongoing ninth Auto Expo 2008.

Initially, only 10 units of the car (Ambierod) will be produced, Mr Chhabria said.

The car has 0.85mm steel body in white, with hydro pneumatic suspension and three-seat configuration. It has large powered Gull Wing doors, 22-inch wheels, which lend an immensely masculine visage coupled with a V-12 engine.

There are live engine sensors, which updates on the engine rpm, fuel capacity, efficiency etc.

The sports model DC:S has an Italianesque design approach. The interiors are minimal with passenger seating being given ample scope.

It has six speed manual transmission and the top speed is 305 kmph.

The company will churn out 200 units of the car annually.

When asked if the car was suited for the Indian roads, Mr Chhabria replied that the car was made keeping in mind the Indian roads and the efficiency will be unchanged regardless of the roads they will be driven on.

''In keeping with the brawn and brain design philosophy of the car, it was only fitting that someone like Sanjay Dutt unveils the car,'' said Mr Chhabria at the launch where Sanjay Dutt was present along with friend Maanyata.

Mr Chhabria, who has 600 unique cars in 14 years to his acclaim, added two more cars in his feather by today's launch.
