Committee's recommendations on Sachar report in Feb: Paloli

Kannur, Jan 10 (UNI) The Committee constituted to suggest proposals on the implementation of Sachar Committee report, will submit its recommendations to Governor R L Bhatia next month, Kerala Local Self-Government Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty said here today.

Though the committee expected more participation from northern parts of the state, where Muslims were in large numbers, good response came from the southern part, Mr Paloli, who is also the Chairman of Committee, told reporters here.

Several Muslim organisations and individuals had submitted their suggestions on education sector, self employment scheme, welfare schemes and infrastructure facilities.

The Minister said the committee's sittings, yet to be held in Wayanad, Thrissur, Palakkad and Ernakulam districts, would conclude this month.
