Cabinbet okays early clearance of special Railways projects
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today okayed promulgation of an ordinance to amend the Railways Act, 1989 expediting land acquisition for Special Railway Projects and replacing the ordinance by a Bill for introduction in the next session of Parliament.
''The proposed amendments would facilitate expeditious land acquisition for Special Railway Projects,'' Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told newspersons today.
