BPL mobile slashes prepaid rates

Mumbai, Jan 10 (UNI) Mobile services operator BPL Mobile slashed its pre-paid call rates today to Re 1 for all local and STD calls.

Subscribers to this offering will be able to avail the same for a daily rate of Re 1.

Mr S Subramaniam, CEO and Director, of the company said, ''The pre-paid market is highly price sensitive which constitutes 70 per cent of our suscriber base. This reduction in our call rates is our new year's gift to our loyal customers.'' BPL mobile operates in Mumbai circle and has already applied for licence in the remaining 22 telecom circles.
