5 IPS officers transferred

Bhopal, Jan 10 (UNI) In a minor reshuffle in the police department immediately after a two-day meeting of the representatives of BJP and its government in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the year-end Assembly election, five senior IPS officers of Inspector General and Additional Director General rank have been transferred today.

Mr V M Kanwar, Additional Director General, Administration at police headquarters, has been posted as ADG Railways, Bhopal with additional charge of ADG Narcotics.

Mr Vijay Vate, ADG, State Crime Records Bureau at PHq, has been shifted as ADG Administration, while Indore Range Inspector General Rajendra Kumar has been shifted to the police headquarters, official sources said.

Dr Shailendra Shrivastava, IG, PHq, has been posted as IG Bhopal range, in place of Mr Anil Kumar, who has been transferred to Indore range in the same capacity.
