5 abductors among 8 held in UP capital
Lucknow, Jan 10 (UNI) Eight persons, including five abductors, were arrested overnight in the Uttar Pradesh capital.
Working on a tip-off, cops swooped upon five kidnappers on Lucknow-Kanpur highway and rescued a cinema hall owner from their clutches.
The quintet had kidnapped Sri Krishna Kushwaha of Kanpur late yesterday night in Banthara area.
Besides, the Alambagh police arrested three criminals accused of firing at a jail official on January 1.
The accused had been sent to jail.
