2 smugglers held, 100 tortoise seized

Varanasi, Jan 10 (UNI) Two smugglers, including a woman, were arrested today by Government Railway Police (GRP) at Cantt railway station here, seizing 100 tortoise from their possession.

The smugglers, native of Mirzapur district, were nabbed while they were travelling on Kisan Express (3308), en route from Ferozabad to Dhanbad late last night, GRP sources said.

The accused have been booked under the Wildlife Protection Act and were sent to jail.
