Tripura Congress invited application for nomination

Agartala, Jan 9 (UNI) The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) today invited applications from its party members wishing to contest forthcoming Assembly polls.

TPCC president and former Chief Minister Samir Ranjan Barman said the party men were asked to file the nomination on or before January 11 and the final candidate list would be published by the All India Congress Committee later.

The aspirants should file the application through district presidents of the party in the state and subsequently these would be forwarded to the high command for decision, Mr Barman said.

He, however, pointed out that the party would give priority to the credentials of the aspirants and their contribution to the society in the selection of the candidates.
