Stress on action plan to check foeticide
Bhopal, Jan 9 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh state-level PNDT Act Supervisory Board has expressed concern over the decreasing female ratio in the state and stressed on the need for chalking out a time-bound action plan to check this trend.
The meeting chaired by Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi decided to prepare publicity material aimed at creating awareness against female embryo killing among women health workers and Aanganwadi workers.
The committee was informed about the possibility of sex determination through blood test and the need to inform the Union Government about this, official sources said.
While stressing on registering all ultra sonography machines, Mr Vishnoi issued directives to seal all such unregistered machines, particularly in Harda district.
